Job summary

Legora in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled People Operations generalist to own local employment practices and casework. You’ll provide practical advice to employees and managers, run cases end-to-end, and help shape local policies within the defined playbook.

This hands-on role partners with Employee Relations and Compliance, as well as People Business Partners, to ensure timely, accurate employee support and compliant programs in a fast-growing, globally minded tech company.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR/People Operations role, with exposure to employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of local employment practices and HR policies.
• Ability to stay neutral under pressure and with senior stakeholders.
• Organised and detail‑oriented with clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical advice on local employment practices, policies and people matters that require interpretation or judgement.
• Running local cases from start to finish, including absence management and ongoing performance concerns.
• Handling intake for leave, accommodation and absence requests.
• Building out local process and policy, and ensuring people programs land in your market.
• Identify opportunities to improve local processes and employee experiences, collaborating with other People teams.
• Applying your market’s jurisdiction playbook accurately and consistently, and flagging where it doesn’t fit local reality.
• Recognising when a matter becomes formal, contested or legally sensitive, and handing it off with all context.
• Keeping your certification and calibration current so your casework meets the standard.
• Work closely with People Business Partners and Employee Relations & Compliance to inform decisions.
