Job description

Manchester | Hybrid – 3 days in the office / 2 from home

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic hospitality client who is continuing to grow its portfolio and is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager with proven new-site opening experience.

If you’ve previously led the marketing for new venue, restaurant, hospitality or leisure openings, this could be a really exciting opportunity.

What really stands out about this business is the culture. They’re a company that welcomes creativity, fresh thinking and new ideas, and genuinely gives people the autonomy to make things happen. It’s a refreshing environment where your opinion matters, you’re encouraged to challenge the norm and you’ll have the freedom to put your own stamp on your work.

This is a role with genuine ownership. You’ll lead the marketing journey for new sites from the early planning stages, through launch and into the all-important first few months of trading.

You’ll be responsible for understanding the local market and customer, shaping the proposition and building a marketing strategy that creates awareness, generates demand and ultimately drives bookings, footfall and sales.

You’ll work closely with teams across Operations, Property, Finance, People and F&B, alongside agency and creative partners, so you’ll need to be comfortable leading complex projects, managing multiple stakeholders and keeping things moving against tight deadlines.

The role:
  • Lead the end-to-end marketing strategy for new site openings
  • Develop pre-launch, launch and post-opening campaigns
  • Use customer, competitor and local market insight to shape the approach
  • Create integrated campaigns that generate awareness and demand
  • Manage agencies, creative development, budgets and timelines
  • Act as the marketing lead within wider opening project teams
  • Track bookings, sales and early trading performance
  • Use performance data to identify opportunities and adjust activity
  • Lead post-opening reviews and help improve the approach for future launches
  • Travel to sites as required
What my client is looking for:

New-site opening experience is essential. You’ll ideally have experience within hospitality, leisure, retail or another multi-site consumer environment and have personally been involved in taking new locations from pre-launch through to opening and beyond.

You’ll also bring:
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills
  • A commercial mindset and understanding of demand generation
  • Experience managing agencies, creative partners and budgets
  • Confidence using data and insight to inform decisions
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
  • A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach

If you’re someone who has ideas, wants to have a voice and enjoys being given the freedom to turn those ideas into reality, this is a business where you can genuinely do that.

And if you love the energy of a new opening and want to see a direct connection between your marketing and the success of a new site, I’d love to hear from you.
