Job summary

SumUp is seeking an experienced Field Sales Consultant in the UK to drive merchant acquisitions. This self-employed, commission-only role requires you to identify prospects, engage business owners, present SumUp’s payment, POS and software solutions, and close deals in your local territory.

You’ll manage your own pipeline, visit businesses, and build relationships with owners while receiving training and support from SumUp.

Qualifications

• Experience in field sales, ideally in relevant sectors.
• Proven ability to win new customers and hit sales targets.
• Ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline from first contact to closing.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Find new customers through face-to-face visits and direct outreach.
• Demonstrate products and close deals with business owners.
• Manage the sale from initial contact through objections to closing.
• Help customers set up and start using SumUp products.
• Maintain CRM records and track activity and results.
• Follow up with prospects and request referrals.
