Your Electrical Skills. Safer Homes. A Career With Purpose.
Are you looking to put your domestic electrical skills to work in a permanent Multi-Skilled Electrician role in Leyland? This role is known internally as Lead Electrician. With local, community-based work, structured hours and a company van for work use, you’ll help keep people’s homes safe while enjoying a favourable work-life balance.
At Progress Housing Group, your work makes a difference to the people behind every front door. We provide safe, high-quality homes and services for our communities. You’ll join over 900 colleagues in a people-first, values-led organisation, helping keep customers’ homes safe, compliant and well maintained.
As a Multi-Skilled Electrician in our Property Services team, you’ll carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, testing and small installations across our housing stock. Alongside job security and structured hours, you’ll have ongoing training and opportunities to build a long-term career in social housing.
From finding an electrical fault to completing a small installation, you’ll put your skills to practical use across Progress Housing Group properties. Your work will include domestic electrical repairs, maintenance, fault-finding and testing.
You’ll work hands-on in occupied and void properties in this field-based Electrician role. Whether responding to a repair or getting an empty property ready for its next tenant, you’ll help keep homes safe, compliant and comfortable while supporting efficient void turnaround.
We are looking for a qualified Electrician with strong domestic electrical experience and the fault-finding skills to get to the root of a problem. Just as importantly, you take a customer-focused approach, working respectfully in the places people call home.
You’ll have high-quality tools, support and stability behind you. At Progress Housing Group, we invest in your development through ongoing training and electrical compliance updates, with opportunities to progress your career in a supportive, inclusive workplace where you can belong.
Everything we do is guided by our values:
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and particularly encourage candidates from underrepresented groups. At Progress Housing Group, inclusion isn’t just a policy-it’s how we work every day.
