Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting an experienced Loading Shovel Operator for a leading construction materials business based in Ewenny, Vale of Glamorgan. You will operate a loading shovel on a busy site, feeding aggregates and asphalt production lines.

The role requires a CPCS/NPORS ticket, strong health and safety practices, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ongoing work with immediate start and competitive rates offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Loading Shovel ticket (CPCS, NPORS or equivalent).
• Previous experience operating loading shovels within a quarry, asphalt, aggregates or similar environment.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable with a good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently.
• Loading hoppers and feeding materials into the production plant.
• Stockpile management and movement of aggregates.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping across site.
• Supporting site operations as required.
