Morson Edge is currently recruiting for an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to work for a leading construction materials business based in Ewenny.

This role involves operating a loading shovel to feed materials into the production plant, load hoppers and manage stockpiles on a busy site handling aggregates and asphalt production.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Loading Shovel ticket (CPCS, NPORS or equivalent), with a strong safety focus and reliable work ethic.

Qualifications

• Valid Loading Shovel ticket (CPCS, NPORS or equivalent).
• Experience operating loading shovels in quarry/aggregates/asphalt environments.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently.
• Load hoppers and feed materials into the production plant.
• Stockpile management and movement of aggregates.
• Load and unload deliveries.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping across site.

• Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently.
• Loading hoppers and feeding materials into the production plant.
• Stockpile management and movement of aggregates.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping across site.
• Supporting site operations as required.

Requirements

• Valid Loading Shovel ticket (CPCS, NPORS or equivalent).
• Previous experience operating loading shovels within a quarry, asphalt, aggregates or similar environment.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable with a good work ethic.
