A busy waste and recycling operation in the East Midlands is hiring an experienced Loading Shovel Operator. This full-time role offers regular hours from 07:00 to 17:00, with overtime on Saturdays and Sundays, and immediate start.

Responsibilities include operating the loading shovel safely, loading HGVs and waste vehicles, maintaining mobile plant, and following health and safety procedures. A positive attitude and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently.
• Loading articulated (HGV) vehicles.
• Loading waste collection vehicles.
• Loading tunnels, shredders, screeners and other equipment involved in the composting process.
• Moving and stockpiling materials around the site.
• Carrying out routine maintenance on mobile plant, including greasing and cleaning.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Supporting the wider site team with general operational duties as required.
