Job summary

Simple Recruitment Services Ltd in Ufton is seeking an experienced Loading Shovel Driver to operate a loading shovel at a busy waste management and composting facility. You will work outdoors, Monday to Friday with guaranteed hours and weekend overtime available.

This full-time role requires a valid loading shovel licence and prior experience, with typical hours 07:00–17:00 and occasional Saturday/Sunday shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid Wheeled Loading Shovel licence/certificate required.
• Previous loading shovel experience essential.
• Experience in waste, recycling or composting environments preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable and hardworking attitude; able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loading shovel safely on site.
• Load collection and arctic vehicles.
• Feed shredders, screeners, tunnels, and processing equipment.
• Transport materials across the facility.
• Support composting operations.
• Carry out basic maintenance including greasing and cleaning mobile plant.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures.
