Responsibilities

• Operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures.
• Load and unload materials into vehicles, hoppers and stockpiles.
• Assist with movement, sorting, and storage of materials around the yard.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects or maintenance needs.
• Ensure stockpiles are maintained safely and accurately.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
• Carry out general yard duties including housekeeping and basic labouring tasks.
• Support other site operations as required.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations, company policies and environmental standards.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth site operations.

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Loading Shovel Operative to join our clients team in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a loading shovel, alongside carrying out a variety of general yard duties to support daily site operations.

This is a hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, commitment to health and safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Assist with the movement, sorting, and storage of materials around the yard.

• Ensure stockpiles are maintained safely and accurately.


• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and hazard-free.


• Carry out general yard duties including housekeeping, sweeping, litter picking, and basic labouring tasks.


• Support other site operations as required.


• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.


• Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth site operations.
