Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd is seeking a Loading Bay Operative (Nights) for our SPAR distribution depot in the UK. You will accurately load customer orders, prepare vehicles and manage documentation and keys to support on-time deliveries.

The role is night shifts from 22:00 to 06:00 Sunday to Thursday, full-time 40 hours per week, with a base rate of £13.57 per standard hour and an additional night-shift allowance of £1.57 per hour. A rewards package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• Numerate and literate.
• Desirable: Reach/counterbalance FLT licence, Full Driving licence, Warehousing and distribution experience.

Job Purpose

The accurate and efficient assembly of customer orders, replenishment, ferrying and bulk storage control within the depot.

Key Accountabilities

• The accurate loading of customer orders onto company vehicles
• Ensuring that drivers’ run-sheets, documentation and vehicle keys are distributed correctly on completion of loading
• The preparation of vehicles prior to loading
