Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd is recruiting a Loading Bay Operative for the 2pm-10pm Sunday to Thursday shift at our Talbot Green depot in South Wales. You will be responsible for the accurate loading of customer orders, vehicle preparation and ensuring drivers have all required documentation.

This role offers 40 hours per week with a performance-related hourly rate of £13.57. Benefits include a company pension, staff discounts and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Numerate and literate.
• Desirable: Reach/counterbalance FLT licence.
• Desirable: Full Driving Licence.
• Desirable: Warehousing and distribution experience.

Location: Talbot Green (South Wales)

Job Purpose

The accurate and efficient assembly of customer orders, replenishment, ferrying and bulk storage control within the depot.

Key Accountabilities

• The accurate loading of customer orders onto company vehicles
• Ensuring that drivers’ run-sheets, documentation and vehicle keys are distributed correctly on completion of loading
• The preparation of vehicles prior to loading
