Job summary

Biffa Group is hiring a Loader Operative for an immediate start in the United Kingdom. You will collect bins from households, empty them onto waste collection vehicles and help with street cleansing tasks in an outdoor environment.

Working Monday to Friday with a start time of 07:00, 42.5 hours per week and overtime available. The role offers on-the-job training, pension benefits and company discount schemes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manual, outdoor or physical role is desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to work early morning starts and flexible hours, including weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Collect bins, boxes and bags from householders and empty them onto a waste collection vehicle.
• Carry out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
• Work outdoors and play a part in keeping local areas clean and safe.
• Follow site instructions and health and safety procedures.

Loader Operative - Immediate start

Working as part of a crew, you will be responsible for collecting bins, boxes and bags from householders and emptying them onto a waste collection vehicle and carrying out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
