Job Opportunity: LNG Software Development Lead

This is an exciting opportunity for an LNG Software Development Lead with strong experience in Planlogic EOS to join a world-leading energy trading company.

Flexible day rates are available, dependent on experience.

This role involves assisting in the implementation and development of a global LNG ETRM system to meet business requirements. Join a dynamic team, work closely with business analysts and users, and coordinate with the project development team to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of bespoke software solutions using .Net C#, SQL Server, and related technologies.
• Guide the development team, ensuring coding standards are maintained.
• Translate technical specifications into code by breaking down complex requirements.
• Ensure solutions align with the approved architecture.
• Manage and distribute development work among team members.
• Address detailed requirements issues, broker decisions, and achieve consensus.
• Support the creation and execution of test strategies and cases.
• Assist in phased delivery decision-making.
• Support change management activities, including training and communications.
• Estimate effort levels for future project phases.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively to deliver technology-enabled business changes.
• Evaluate and improve system performance.
• Adapt the program to evolving requirements.
• Support user acceptance testing to ensure the system meets specifications and is user-friendly.
• Document system operation procedures clearly for users and operators.
• Handover solutions to application support teams.
• Maintain and develop existing software and applications.

Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in .Net Framework and C#, with experience in SQL Server.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and in medium to large teams.
• Understanding of small organizational structures.
• Knowledge of energy and commodity trading, especially LNG, is beneficial.
• Experience with Planlogic EOS or similar CTRM systems in liquid bulk commodities.
• Exposure to shipping management, trading, risk, and product control processes is beneficial.
• Strong ability to articulate design and development components.
• Adaptability to changing business priorities and expectations.
