Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an LNG Software Development Lead with strong experience in Planlogic EOS to join a world-leading energy trading company.

Flexible day rates available, dependent on experience.

This role involves assisting in the implementation and development of a global LNG ETRM system to meet the business requirements. Join a dynamic team, work closely with business analysts and users, and coordinate with the project development team to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of bespoke software solutions using .Net C#, SQL Server, and associated technologies.
• Guide the development team, ensuring coding standards are met by all developers.
• Break down technical specifications into simple elements and translate this logic into code.
• Ensure solutions align with approved architecture.
• Distribute development work and manage developers on a day-to-day basis.
• Address detailed issues on requirements, broker decisions, and achieve consensus.
• Support the creation and execution of test strategies and test cases.
• Support decision-making around phased delivery of the solution.
• Assist with change management activities, including benefits realization planning, training, and communications.
• Estimate the effort required for future project phases.
• Work autonomously and within a team to deliver technology-enabled business change.
• Evaluate and improve system performance.
• Adapt the program to new requirements as necessary.
• Support user acceptance testing to ensure the program works to specifications and is user-friendly.
• Write detailed documentation for system operation by users and operators.
• Handover solutions to application support.
• Update, repair, modify, and develop existing software and applications.

Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in .Net Framework and .Net C#. Experience with SQL Server.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes is beneficial.
• Ability to work autonomously and in medium to large teams.
• Understanding of small organizations.
• Knowledge of energy and commodity trading, especially LNG, is beneficial.
• Ideally, experience with Planlogic EOS ETRM system or other CTRM systems specializing in liquid bulk commodities.
• Exposure to shipping management, key trading, risk, and product control processes is beneficial.
• Experience in articulating design to development components is essential.
• Ability to adapt to and manage changing business priorities and expectations.
