Job summary

Aviva plc is seeking a Senior Corporate Financial Controller for the Lloyds Corporate unit in London. The role leads the corporate finance function across UK and overseas entities and the finance operations team, ensuring compliance while driving process improvements and change initiatives.

You will partner with Probitas and Aviva, shaping how finance works, with extensive IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with senior finance experience in insurance.
• Consolidation experience in Lloyd's or insurance businesses desirable.
• Proven track record in leading teams and delivering finance change projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience in insurance accounting across corporate entities; Lloyd's exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate finance and finance operations for UK and overseas entities, ensuring compliance.
• Drive process improvements and act as the key link between Probitas and Aviva during change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

This role sits within the Probitas Finance Leadership team, reporting to the Head of Finance. You’ll lead both the corporate finance function across UK and overseas entities, and the finance operations team, ensuring compliance and driving process improvements. You’ll be the key link between Probitas and Aviva, helping deliver change while maintaining business-as-usual.

Skills and experience

• Qualified accountant with significant experience in a senior finance role within the insurance industry
• Consolidation experience is highly desirable, ideally in a Lloyd's business - but will consider other insurance businesses
• Strong team leadership and stakeholder management experience with a proven track record in delivering finance change projects
• Knowledge of accounting standards, both UK GAAP and IFRS
• Skilled in financial reporting, data analysis and systems (SUN/Oracle GL desirable)
• Proven experience in insurance accounting and working across related corporate entities; Lloyd’s market exposure is a strong advantage
