Job summary

WithYou in Bournemouth is seeking a Lived Experience Support Worker based at our Station Approach office. You will use your personal journey with drugs or alcohol to support clients on their recovery journey and work closely with Recovery Workers.

This role is full-time (37.5 hours) on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based at our Bournemouth service. You will support service users with their recovery, drawing on your lived experience to engage and motivate others while maintaining professional

Qualifications

• Must have personal lived experience with drugs or alcohol.
• Experience in health and social care preferred.
• Ability to build trust while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Team player with initiative.
• 12 months not in treatment and 24 months away from problematic substance misuse.
• Willingness to use personal experience to engage and motivate service users.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients using lived experience to encourage service use and support recovery.
• Work with Recovery Workers to guide individuals toward recovery goals.
• Provide outreach, harm reduction, structured interventions and activities.
