Qualifikationen

• Personal lived experience of Secure Inpatient Services, prison or contact with the criminal justice system is welcomed.
• Experience of mental health challenges is relevant.
• Lived experience including homelessness or substance use is welcome.
• Experience using lived experience to support others (paid, volunteering or user-led work) is beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Provide 1:1 peer support on the ward (including support for family/carers).
• Set up and facilitate peer support groups.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings to ensure service users’ voices are heard and needs are advocated for.
• Contribute to service development by offering ideas and lived experience perspectives.
• Build connections with a range of stakeholders, including other peer support workers and providers.
