Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Community Engagement Worker (Lived Experience) to join the Salford-based Peer Support Network. You will use your lived experience to support recovery, promote accessible services, and help people connect with local resources.

You will plan events, contribute to online and offline content, promote the network to individuals and groups, and support autonomous peer-led decision making while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of substance use or related involvement is essential.
• Level 2 Peer Mentor qualification or willingness to undertake it is required.
• Live or have strong connections to Salford, or work there, is important.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run events and activities for the Peer Support Network.
• Contribute to online and offline content to raise awareness.
• Promote the network to individuals and groups.
• Point people in the right direction when support is needed.
• Coordinate plans with Salford peers to drive positive change.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and outcomes.
• Support peer-led, autonomous decision making with respect for diversity.
