Job summary

Òran Mór in Glasgow’s West End is seeking a Live Music and Arts Programmer who blends commercial sense with a strong network in live entertainment and theatre. You will plan and deliver a diverse programme of visiting and in-house productions, and manage relationships with promoters, artists and agents.

This role offers growth as the group expands toward a major new Edinburgh venue, with opportunities to shape programming, attend festivals, and contribute to the venue’s ongoing success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a similar events role.
• Professional approach with excellent communication.
• Appetite for new music and openness to new ways of working.
• Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of venue Health & Safety regulations.
• Strong budgeting, costing and forecasting skills.
• Willingness to work flexibly and outside office hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage the diary and programming across the venue.
• Handle diary management and enquiries.
• Develop relationships with promoters, artists and agents.
• Assist with post-show settlements with finance.
• Collaborate with ticketing on sales.
• Curate, program, contract and deliver events.
• Identify emerging trends and create opportunities for development.
• Manage production budgets within financial parameters.
• Produce in-house theatre productions with creative teams.
• Collaborate with Celtic Connections and Glasgow festivals.
• Support other venues with programming and curation.
