Job summary

Active Care Group in Warwick is seeking a male Live-In Support Worker to provide one-to-one care for a man with a spinal cord injury in his family home. The role offers 2 weeks on/2 weeks off live-in shifts with flexible arrangements and a zero-hours contract.

Training is provided for clinical support, meals, mobility and daily routines. The ideal candidate is kind, reliable, and a strong communicator with a person-centred approach, capable of building trust and engaging in social activities

He has limited mobility and requires assistance with all aspects of daily living, but with the right support, he continues to enjoy life both at home and out in the community.He’s sociable and enjoys spending time with others—whether that’s heading out for a drink, relaxing with films, or gaming on his PlayStation. He tends to keep later hours, usually staying up into the early morning and starting his day in the afternoon.Building a genuine connection is key in this role, so sharing or taking an interest in his hobbies will go a long way in creating a positive and supportive environment.In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team.
