Job description

For genuine occupational requirements, we require female candidates for this client.

Our client leads an active lifestyle; therefore, a successful applicant will hold a full, clean UK drivers' licence to drive the client's vehicle.

Would you like to do live-in care every other week; 1 week on, 1 week off?

Would you like a rewarding role in which you can support a client one-to-one in their own home or at university?

Come and join one of the UK's largest providers of complex care.

Within the Care in the Home division, we support clients with spinal cord injuries to live independently in their own homes.

We'd like you to join us as a Live-In Support Worker to support our brand-new female client who lives between Prestbury / Liverpool University.

Meet the client:

Our female client is enrolled to study computer science at Liverpool University, starting in September. She requires a female driver to support with transport to university and travel home at weekends. You would also assist her on holidays, as she enjoys traveling to hot countries several times a year.

Nigerian food is an important part of her culture, so a support worker willing to help with cooking would be advantageous.

Our client values her independence and social life, so a sociable person would be desirable.

What you'll be doing:

This role involves supporting our client with a spinal cord injury, including personal care, moving and handling, driving her vehicle, and domestic duties like cooking.

This may involve living with her either at her home in Prestbury or at her university accommodation in Liverpool during term time. She may go home on weekends.

You will need to drive her vehicle to transport her between her home and university, so a full UK drivers' licence is required.

When you'll be working:

  • We are seeking a permanent team member to work regularly with our client.
  • Assignments: 1 week on, 1 week off.
  • Schedules and breaks will be planned in advance.

What you'll have:

  • Full, clean UK drivers' licence
  • Kind and caring nature
  • Flexibility and reliability; continuity of care is essential
  • Good communication skills

What to look forward to:

  • £147 up to £162 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Accrued holiday pay
  • A Nest Personal Pension account
  • Full specialist training
  • Recognition of outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme
  • Refer a Friend Scheme: earn up to £1500 by recommending someone you know
  • Support and guidance from our qualified clinical and business leadership teams to help develop your career with Active Care Group
Active Care Group is an Equal Opportunities Employer. Due to the nature of the position, there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement to recruit female Personal Healthcare Assistants.

We also support individuals with disabilities by providing reasonable accommodations during applications or interviews to perform essential job functions. We are a Disability Confident employer.
