Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a compassionate Live-In Support Worker to provide one-to-one care for a male client with a C5/6 spinal cord injury in a rural Gloucestershire family home. The role requires a full UK driving licence, a strong sense of reliability, and comfort with dogs.

The position offers 12-hour live-in shifts in two-week blocks with holiday/festive cover as needed, and includes benefits such as travel coverage, paid specialist training, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence and confidence driving.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be comfortable around dogs.
• Experience with spinal cord injury is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for a male client with a spinal injury.
• Assist with transport when required.
• Support independence and daily living in the client’s home.
• Work 12-hour live-in shifts on a two-week rotation, with occasional holiday/festive cover.
