Our clients, who are a busy family residing on a picturesque country farm in Ockham, Surrey, are seeking a friendly, experienced, and proactive Live-in Gardener.

This is a semi-formal household with a relaxed atmosphere, requiring a Gardener who is organised, self-managing, and efficient. A love for dogs is essential as pet care is part of the role.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a large garden, including the use of a ride-on lawnmower
• Care for courtyards and surrounding areas of the main house
• Perform interior and exterior maintenance tasks
• Handle DIY projects as needed
• Provide chauffeuring services on an as-needed basis
• Manage the care and cleaning of family vehicles, including overseeing servicing schedules
• Pet-sit whilst the family is travelling
• Ensure the security of the property
• Assist with parties, and handle any heavier work required

Candidate Requirements:

• Must be a mature, responsible Gardener with previous experience in a similar role
• Highly skilled with machines, proficient in DIY, and experienced with ride-on lawnmowers and large garden maintenance
• Must be helpful, organised, and possess a strong work ethic, with excellent communication skills
• Confident driver with clean driving licence
• Must be dog-friendly and willing to care for pets
• The family requires 5 years of contactable references

Accommodation:

• A lovely, furnished/unfurnished one-bedroom cottage, separate from the main house
• The accommodation includes a private garden, large garage, and parking
• Utilities included

Working Days : Thursday to Monday (days off: Tuesday & Wednesday)
Working Hours : Up to 47.5 hours per week (lunch break: 30 mins per day)
