Job summary
Medicare People is recruiting self-employed Live-in Carers in Lancing to provide one-to-one care and companionship in clients' homes. Accommodation is provided during placements, with support from the Medicare People team to match you with suitable clients.
You'll deliver personalised care, manage meals, mobility, medication as required, and help clients stay independent. Regular introductions to families, flexible placements, and ongoing opportunities nationwide shape a rewarding role with
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of UK care experience.
- Kind, caring and compassionate personality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence working within clients' homes.
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients and families.
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Flexibility to travel and work in different locations.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience administering medication is desirable.
- Live-in care experience is beneficial but not required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality live-in care within clients' homes.
- Build trusting relationships with clients.
- Support personal care and grooming routines.
- Assist with mobility and moving around the home.
- Prepare meals and drinks throughout the day.
- Provide companionship and reassurance.
- Administer medication in line with care plans.
- Help keep the home clean, safe and comfortable.
- Support with shopping and collecting prescriptions.
- Monitor health and wellbeing.
- Maintain clear and accurate care notes.
- Work as part of a wider care team.
