Total Community Care Limited is seeking a compassionate live-in care assistant to support an elderly client in their own home in Redruth. You will provide day-to-day companionship, personal care, and practical support such as shopping and housekeeping, while ensuring safety and dignity at all times.

Training is provided, with clear opportunities for career progression into senior and leadership roles. The role offers family-friendly arrangements and ongoing professional development support.

Qualificações

• Experience in clinical tasks such as bladder care and bowel management.
• Strong communication abilities are essential.
• Experience in a live-in care setting is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Provide day-to-day companionship and personal care to clients in their own homes.
• Assist with activities of daily living and practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.
• Support feeding, personal care and domestic duties as required by the client.
• Attend to carers' daily routines while ensuring client safety and comfort.

What you’ll do

Our live-in care assistants are extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting vulnerable people to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll provide day-to-day companionship, and personal care, assist clients with the activities of daily living, and help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.

We support all our Live-in Care Assistants and provide training as well as opportunities for career progression. You will be provided with your private room and have adequate breaks each day. Every day will be different. And you’ll never know what challenges you’re about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though, is that you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter.

We are looking for an active kind, caring and empathetic live in carer for a client that is an elderly lady with multiple sclerosis. You will be supporting with feeding, personal care and domestic duties.

There are also ducks and chickens at the premises which require feeding daily.

In terms of clinical aspects there may be catheter care, which is changed by district nurses, PRN medication and specialist moving and handling via tracking hoist.

What you'll need

Experience required in the following clinical tasks would make your application extremely advantageous prior to an interview commencing:

• Bladder Care
• Bowel Management
• Strong Communication Abilities
• Moving and Handling Equipment
• Medication Administration
• Experienced in a Live In care setting.
