Job summary

CCH Group's Total Community Care unit in Redruth is seeking a dedicated live-in carer to support an elderly lady with daily living tasks and companionship.

You’ll provide personal care, help with meals, shopping, and housework, and work on a rota of 1 week on / 1 week off. Full training and a paid induction are provided; DBS checks are covered by us.

Qualifications

Experience in clinical tasks like bladder care and bowel management.
Strong communication abilities and moving and handling equipment.
Medication administration in a live-in care setting.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day companionship and personal care.
Assist with activities of daily living and domestic duties.
Support clients with feeding, meals, shopping and housework.

Job Description

What you’ll do

Our live-in care assistants are extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting vulnerable people to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll provide day-to-day companionship, and personal care, assist clients with the activities of daily living, and help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.

We support all our Live-in Care Assistants and provide training as well as opportunities for career progression. You will be provided with your private room and have adequate breaks each day. Every day will be different. And you’ll never know what challenges you’re about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though, is that you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter.

We are looking for an active kind, caring and empathetic live in carerfor aclient that is an elderly lady with multiple sclerosis. You will be supporting with feeding, personal care and domestic duties.

There are also ducks and chickens at the premises which require feeding daily.

In terms of clinical aspects there may be catheter care, which is changed by district nurses, PRN medication and specialist moving and handling via tracking hoist.
