Job summary

The Story Engineers design and deliver live experiences for museums, heritage sites, brands and events. As a Systems Technician, you will support live technology and control systems across client portfolios, performing maintenance, diagnostics and on-site service with a focus on quality and reliability.

You will work hands-on, often face-to-face with clients, and contribute to workshop builds, pre-site commissioning and documentation to ensure long-term performance of installed systems.

Qualifications

• Good working understanding of signal flow and networked technology systems.
• Hands-on fault-finding and repair experience on live systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Q-SYS and related hardware is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned maintenance and reactive service visits.
• Diagnose and resolve faults on live systems.
• Carry out system testing, backups, firmware updates and configuration changes.
• Document service activity and produce client reports after each visit.
• Explain issues and fixes clearly to clients on site.
• Work from technical drawings and keep as-built records up to date.
• Support installation, rack builds and project tasks in workshop or on site.
• Follow RAMS and health & safety procedures consistently.
• Complete manufacturer and industry training and share knowledge.
