Job summary
Formula 1 is seeking a Distribution Engineer at the world-renowned Media & Technology Centre in Biggin Hill. You will ensure reliable delivery of video and audio feeds powering F1’s global broadcast and digital output, supporting race weekends and ongoing upgrades.
You will manage service switching, monitor distribution equipment, and collaborate with external vendors to maintain high availability during live events, with opportunities to influence the broader technical ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Experience in broadcast, media, or telecom environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage service switching to keep outputs on air during normal and emergency conditions.
- Coordinate with third‑party fibre, uplink and connectivity providers during fault investigations.
- Routinely monitor health and performance of distribution equipment.
- Identify and mitigate risks across the distribution infrastructure.
- Document operational procedures and diagrams for distribution systems.
