THE PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

As an experienced Litigator, you will primarily handle RTA cases, with a mix of EL/PL/OL claims that drop out of the MOJ portal, along with some Intermediate and Multi Track cases. Your responsibilities include assessing liability, managing cases efficiently, and securing the best outcomes for both clients and the business.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A LITIGATOR
  • Progress pre-issue claims into litigation swiftly using your advanced knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth case handovers.
  • Draft particulars of claim and other necessary documentation accurately.
  • Understand different claim tracks and maximize revenue accordingly.
  • Meet strict court deadlines.
  • Stay well-versed with CPR rules and relevant case law.
  • Attend conferences, hearings, and Case Management Conferences as needed.
  • Instruct Counsel or experts when required.
  • Support other teams and handle complex queries.
  • Make timely file closure decisions.
  • Engage with consumers empathetically and personally.
  • Assess cases, support clients, and maintain engagement through informed advice.
  • Keep up-to-date with market knowledge to ensure skills remain relevant.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience handling non-portal claims from a Claimant perspective.
  • Proven ability to manage high-value cases independently.
  • Strong litigation background and high billing achievement.
  • Technical competence and ability to handle a mixed caseload.
  • Risk management skills for sound decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in analyzing MI for decision-making.
  • Strong IT skills to maximize efficiency.
