Job summary

Flint Bishop Solicitors in Derby seeks a Litigation Team Leader to supervise a Debt Recovery team handling high-value pre-litigation matters, issuing claims, and progressing defended cases. You will guide the team, monitor performance, and drive training and improvements.

The role reports to the Litigation Manager and requires strong supervisory skills and a proactive approach to meet targets and deadlines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years PQE in litigation
• Debt recovery experience in relevant sector
• Supervisory experience in recoveries or a legal setting
• Genuine interest in contentious area of law
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day work and operations of the Debt Recovery Litigation team.
• Collaborate with Debt Recovery Managers and Head of Debts Services for smooth pre- and post-litigation processes.
• Ensure financial targets are met within the team.
• Ensure firm-wide and departmental SLAs and procedures are followed.
• Provide support and guidance to ensure cases progress appropriately.
• Run regular file reviews with fee-earners and use them as a developmental tool.
• Produce management information for the Debt Recovery Managers.
• Upskill knowledge of the litigation process and Debt Recovery, sharing expertise with the team.
