Job summary

Flint Bishop is seeking a Litigation Team Leader for our Debt Recovery department in Derby. You will supervise a team of legal executives and paralegals handling high value pre-litigated matters, issuing claims and progressing defended cases with enforcement post judgment.

You will focus on day-to-day supervision, case performance, and training improvements, reporting to the Litigation Manager to drive performance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years PQE in debt recovery or related field.
• Experience supervising a legal team of executives and paralegals.
• Demonstrated interest in contentious litigation and enforcement.
• Strong time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day work and operations of the Debt Recovery Litigation team.
• Collaborate with Debt Recovery Managers and Head of Debts Services on departmental matters.
• Ensure financial targets are met within the team.
• Ensure that all firm-wide and departmental SLAs and procedures are followed.
• Provide guidance to the team to progress cases effectively.
• Conduct regular file reviews with fee-earners and use them for development.
• Produce management information for Debt Recovery Managers.
• Upskill the team with current litigation and debt recovery knowledge.
