Michael Page Legal is seeking a Litigation Legal Counsel to join an established financial services organisation in Sheffield on a 12 month fixed-term contract. You will advise on disputes, litigation, regulatory challenges and governance matters, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Qualified to practise law in the UK with strong litigation or regulatory experience.
• Experience in contentious matters within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
• Comfortable advising business stakeholders directly in private practice or in-house.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Experience overseeing external legal advisers; public sector or in-house experience is advantageous.

• Advising on litigation, disputes and potential legal challenges affecting the organisation's activities.

An opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Legal Counsel to join an established financial services organisation on a 12 month fixed term contract based in Sheffield. You will advise on disputes, litigation, regulatory challenges and governance matters while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business. The role offers a varied in house workload and meaningful exposure to strategic decision making.

Our client is a well established organisation operating within the financial services sector. The legal function works closely with business leaders, risk, compliance and policy teams to support important organisational objectives.

The legal team provides advice across a broad range of contentious matters and works collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the organisation.

Description

• Advising on litigation, disputes and potential legal challenges affecting the organisation's activities.
• Supporting governance, escalation and risk management processes with internal and external stakeholders.

• A lawyer qualified to practise in the UK with strong litigation, disputes or regulatory experience.
• Experienced in contentious matters within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
• Comfortable advising business stakeholders directly in either private practice or an in house setting.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and building effective stakeholder relationships.
• Experienced in overseeing external legal advisers, with public sector or in house experience advantageous.

Job Offer

Salary up to £60,000, plus bonus, 15% pension, 30 days holiday, healthcare, and flexible hybrid working.
