The client is a financial services organisation in Sheffield seeking a Litigation Legal Counsel for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will advise on disputes, litigation, regulatory challenges and governance matters while collaborating with senior stakeholders across the business.

The role offers a varied in-house workload with exposure to strategic decision making and a flexible hybrid working pattern. Salary up to £60,000 with bonus, 15% pension, 30 days holiday and healthcare.

Qualificações

• Qualified to practise law in the UK.
• Strong litigation, disputes or regulatory experience.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders directly in business or in-house settings.

Responsabilidades

• Advise on litigation, disputes and regulatory challenges affecting the organisation.
• Support governance, escalation and risk management processes with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide legal advice to senior management, product teams, risk, compliance and procurement functions.
• Oversee external legal advisers to ensure effective delivery and value for money.
• Support Freedom of Information matters, legal knowledge development and horizon scanning initiatives.

An opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Legal Counsel to join an established financial services organisation on a 12 month fixed term contract based in Sheffield. You will advise on disputes, litigation, regulatory challenges and governance matters while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business. Our client is a well established organisation operating within the financial services sector. The legal function works closely with business leaders, risk, compliance and policy teams to support important organisational objectives.

The legal team provides advice across a broad range of contentious matters and works collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the organisation.

Description

• Advising on litigation, disputes and potential legal challenges affecting the organisation's activities.
• Supporting governance, escalation and risk management processes with internal and external stakeholders.
• Providing legal advice to senior management, product teams, risk, compliance, finance and procurement functions.
• Managing external legal advisers to ensure effective delivery and value for money.
• Supporting Freedom of Information matters, legal knowledge development and horizon scanning initiatives.

Profile

• A lawyer qualified to practise in the UK with strong litigation, disputes or regulatory experience.
• Experienced in contentious matters within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
• Comfortable advising business stakeholders directly in either private practice or an in house setting.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and building effective stakeholder relationships.
• Experienced in overseeing external legal advisers, with public sector or in house experience advantageous.
