Job summary

Eventus Legal Recruitment is seeking a Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a busy litigation team within a Legal 500 firm in Margate, Kent. Applications are welcomed from NQ to around 5 years PQE with relevant litigation experience.

Salary is £45,000 to £65,000 depending on experience, with hybrid working (two days remote per week after probation), a performance-related bonus and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive between NQ and 5 years PQE.
• Experience of managing a varied litigation caseload.
• Confidence with court proceedings and dispute resolution processes.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and case management skills.
• Excellent communication and client care abilities.
• Empathetic, commercially aware and solutions-focused.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Interest in contributing to the Dispute Resolution team’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Managing a broad caseload of civil and commercial litigation from instruction to resolution.
• Advising on property disputes, landlord and tenant matters.
• Handling employment disputes for individuals and businesses.
• Managing probate and inheritance disputes.
• Advising on contractual and general commercial disputes.
• Handling boundary, ownership and neighbour disputes.
• Issuing and progressing court proceedings.
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and other court documents.
• Attending court hearings and conferences with Counsel.
• Instructing Counsel, experts and other advisers.
• Supporting experienced colleagues with complex, high-value disputes.
• Building trusted relationships with individuals and business clients.

Applications are welcomed from qualified solicitors or legal executives from NQ up to around 5 years PQE with relevant litigation experience.

Salary of £45,000 to £65,000 depending on experience, hybrid working with two days remote working from home per week after probation, a performance‑related bonus and relocation support.

Role Responsibilities

• Managing a broad caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters from initial instruction through to resolution
• Advising on property disputes, including residential and commercial landlord and tenant matters
• Handling employment disputes for individuals and businesses
• Managing probate and inheritance disputes
• Advising on contractual and general commercial disputes
• Handling boundary, ownership and neighbour disputes
• Issuing and progressing court proceedings
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and other court documentation
• Attending court hearings and conferences with Counsel
• Instructing Counsel, experts and other professional advisers
• Supporting experienced colleagues with complex and high value disputes
• Building trusted and long standing relationships with individuals and business clients
