Job description

Eventus Legal are seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join a growing litigation team within a well-established law firm in Hale, Cheshire. This is a full-time, permanent job position for a qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE, offering a salary up to £70, 000 dependent on experience, an annual bonus of up to 10% of salary, 25 days' annual leave with service-related increases, a paid day off for your birthday, healthcare package, death-in-service cover, gym membership and other social subscriptions. The position is primarily office-based, although hybrid working is open to discussion. You will handle complex and varied commercial litigation matters within an established team, with the vacancy arising following an internal team move.

Role Responsibilities

As a Commercial Litigation Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload of complex and varied disputes while also supporting senior colleagues on larger matters. Reporting to the Partner and Head of Commercial Litigation, you will contribute to an efficient, commercially focused service for clients. Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied commercial litigation caseload and progressing matters efficiently from instruction through to resolution.
• Advising clients throughout their matters on legal risk, prospects of success and potential costs exposure.
• Developing clear litigation strategies and taking a commercial, tactical approach to achieving the best available outcome for each client.
• Assisting senior members of the litigation team with larger and more complex cases.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across commercial property, corporate and finance to provide joined-up legal solutions.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through responsive communication, practical advice and high standards of client care.
• Managing multiple live matters, competing priorities and key deadlines in accordance with client service-level requirements.
• Maintaining accurate, complete and up-to-date case records across all ongoing matters.

Person Specification

• Qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical and procedural knowledge of commercial litigation and experience managing your own caseload.
• Sound commercial judgement and the ability to develop effective litigation strategies.
• The confidence to advise clearly on risk, prospects and costs exposure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong commitment to client care.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work under pressure.
• The organisation and resilience to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different legal disciplines.
