Job summary

Service Care Solutions is assisting a Northwest law firm to recruit a Commercial Litigation Solicitor (NQ–3 years’ PQE) based in Wigan. The role offers hybrid working after probation and a starting salary around the £40k mark, with scope to grow as experience increases.

The firm handles disputes, debt recovery, asset finance and insolvency matters for commercial clients and seeks candidates with strong drafting, analytical and research skills to join an experienced team.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (NQ–3 years’ PQE).
• Experience in litigation or dispute resolution preferred.
• Interest in retraining into commercial litigation welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters with supervision.
• Assist with disputes involving contractual issues, commercial agreements and financial obligations.
• Handle debt recovery and asset finance litigation matters for commercial clients.
• Draft legal documents, letters of claim, pleadings and other court documents.
• Support matters involving insolvency, enforcement, recovery of assets and other commercial disputes.
• Work toward settlement and ADR where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met.

Service Care Solutions are delighted to be working with a specialist law firm in the Northwest that is continuing to grow its commercial litigation team . The firm works with a broad range of commercial clients , including lenders and businesses , advising on disputes , debt recovery , asset finance and insolvency-related matters . This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with NQ to 3 years' PQE to join an experienced team, develop their expertise and gain exposure to a varied caseload. The firm is also open to considering solicitors from other practice areas who are interested in retraining and moving into commercial litigation .

Location: Wigan

Salary: Starting from £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

Working Pattern: Office-based during probation, with hybrid working available thereafter

PQE: Newly Qualified to 3 years

Responsibilties as a Commercial Litigation Solicitor :

• Manage a caseload of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters, with appropriate supervision.
• Assist with disputes involving contractual issues, commercial agreements and financial obligations.
• Handle debt recovery and asset finance litigation matters on behalf of commercial clients.
• Draft legal documents, letters of claim, pleadings and other court documentation.
• Support matters involving insolvency, enforcement, recovery of assets and other commercial disputes.
• Work towards resolving disputes through negotiation, settlement and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met.

About you as a Commercial Litigation Solicitor:

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales, from NQ to 3 years' PQE.
• Experience in litigation or dispute resolution is desirable.
• Commercial litigation experience would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate.
• Solicitors from other practice areas who are keen to retrain and develop a career in commercial litigation are encouraged to apply.
• Strong drafting, analytical and legal research skills.
