Job description

A leading and forward-thinking IP firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join its growing litigation practice. This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced litigation professional looking to take on greater responsibility across complex UK and UPC matters.

Working closely with partners, lawyers and clients, the successful Senior Litigation Paralegal will play a central role in coordinating the operational delivery of complex litigation matters, while also supporting the development of junior paralegals and improving processes across the team.

The role offers excellent exposure to high-profile disputes, including life sciences litigation, multi-jurisdictional matters and proceedings before the UK High Court and Unified Patent Court.

Senior Litigation Paralegal's Role

• Coordinating litigation support activities across multiple complex matters
• Supporting UK High Court and UPC litigation
• Assisting with hearing and trial preparation
• Managing case documentation, deadlines and key litigation processes
• Coordinating with clients, counsel, experts, foreign associates and internal teams
• Supporting multi-jurisdictional disputes
• Assisting with matter planning and project management
• Allocating work and supporting junior litigation paralegals
• Coaching and mentoring less experienced team members
• Developing and implementing best-practice procedures
• Identifying opportunities to improve litigation processes and workflows
• Supporting knowledge-sharing and operational initiatives
• Ensuring matters progress efficiently and deadlines are consistently met

The Senior Litigation Paralegal

• Substantial experience supporting complex litigation matters
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and processes
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Experience managing competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
• Previous experience mentoring, coaching or developing junior colleagues would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach
• Confident communicating with clients, lawyers, counsel and external advisers
• Proactive, personable and able to work independently
• Genuine interest in developing litigation operations and processes
