Job summary

ESSENTIAL EMPLOYMENT LTD in Central London is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to provide legal support on housing management and landlord-and-tenant matters. The role involves assisting with possession proceedings, ASB cases, disrepair, and tenancy enforcement, drafting proceedings, and managing a pre-action caseload under supervision.

You will support solicitors and counsel, liaise with housing officers, clients, external parties, maintain case records, perform legal research and help prepare

• Conduct legal research and prepare notes and reports.

Litigation Paralegal needed in Central London Paying £122.26 per day ref OR118909

Full time hours on a temporarybasis

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal support and assistance on a range of housing management and landlord and tenant matters.
• Assist with the conduct of litigation relating to:
  • Possession proceedings
  • Access injunctions
  • Anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases
  • Disrepair claims
  • Tenancy enforcement matters
• Draft legal proceedings, pleadings, witness statements, notices, applications and other litigation documents.
• Manage a caseload of pre-action housing litigation matters under supervision.
• Support solicitors, counsel and legal colleagues in preparing cases for court and hearings.
• Liaise with housing officers, clients, external solicitors, counsel, courts and partner agencies.
• Provide support and guidance to witnesses involved in legal proceedings, including attendance at meetings and occasional home visits where required.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records in accordance with departmental procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct legal research and assist in preparing legal advice notes, reports and correspondence.
• Support the delivery of training and awareness sessions on housing management and landlord and tenant law.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Provide cover for colleagues within the legal team as required.
