Litigation Lawyer needed in Surrey

This is a temporary role and the rate is £55.00ph PAYE

The successful candidate will take ownership of a diverse and challenging litigation caseload, confidently handling all non‑insurance related disputes involving the Council. They will provide solutions‑focused, enabling advice across a wide range of matters — from adult social care debt recovery to property, commercial and general litigation — demonstrating the ability to quickly absorb new areas of law and apply sound judgement.

The successful candidate will draft clear and persuasive briefs to Counsel, work collaboratively within the team, and contribute effectively at client and project meetings. They will offer robust guidance to Members and Senior Officers, manage competing priorities to meet statutory and client deadlines, and deliver exemplary client care with strong organisational skills. A proven ability to work flexibly and independently, alongside experience or willingness to undertake advocacy, will be essential to thriving in this role.
