Job summary

KRG Holdings Ltd in Crewe is seeking an experienced Lithographic Printer to join the production team. You will operate multiple presses (Komori GLX, LS40, Heidelberg XL75), ensure high-quality printed packaging, and contribute to efficient production on a rotating two-week shift.

The role requires at least three years of carton printing experience, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of health and safety. Collaboration with the No.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience as a lithographic printer in carton printing.
• GCSEs in English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications.
• Strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Komori GLX 6-colour, LS40 and Heidelberg XL75 presses.
• Prepare make-readies and set up presses for new jobs.
• Maintain colour accuracy and monitor print quality throughout production.
• Support No. 2 Printer and Print Assistant on shift.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Uphold health, safety and environmental standards.

Job description

Lithographic Printer / No. 1 Printer

Location: Crewe

Salary: £DOE per annum + 20% shift allowance

(Salary increases once competent in operating all three machines)

Hours:

This role operates on a rotating two-week shift pattern.

Week 1 - Early Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 1:25pm


• Friday: 6:00am - 1:00pm

Week 2 - Afternoon Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 1:20pm - 9:00pm


• Friday: 12:55pm - 6:55pm

An established packaging manufacturer in Crewe is looking for an experienced Lithographic Printer / No. 1 Printer to join its production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Komori GLX 6-colour and LS40 printing presses, alongside the Heidelberg XL75.


• Producing high-quality printed products in line with customer specifications and quality standards.


• Completing make-readies and preparing presses for new jobs.


• Supporting and directing the No. 2 Printer and Print Assistant during production.


• Carrying out routine machine maintenance in line with manufacturer guidelines.


• Monitoring print quality and maintaining colour accuracy throughout production.


• Maximising efficiency, reducing waste and improving production output.


• Sharing knowledge and best practice with colleagues to support continuous improvement.


• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

Essential Skills and Experience

• A minimum of three years' experience as a Lithographic Printer within a carton printing environment.


• Previous experience in the print or packaging manufacturing industry.


• GCSEs in English and Mathematics, or equivalent qualifications.


• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.


• An understanding of production efficiency and health and safety requirements.


• The ability to work effectively within a team and support colleagues on shift.

Desirable Experience

• Experience operating Komori GLX, GL640 and Heidelberg XL75 presses.


• Working knowledge of PQC/PQA Version 6.


• Experience using PDF comparison software.


• Knowledge of print, carton and leaflet manufacturing processes.
