Job summary

Dale Farm is seeking a Liquid Processing Operator to maximise product output, efficiency and quality. You will cover milk intake, despatch, water management, SCADA-controlled processes, and CIP tasks, working with the shift manager to learn the production process.

The role operates on a 3 on 3 off 12-hour day shift, with potential holiday/absence cover across different patterns as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 GCSEs (including English and Maths).
• At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrable technical skills (mechanical/electrical/mechatronics).
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, computerised).
• Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders professionally.
• Experience working as part of a small team.
• Working knowledge of a SCADA system.
• Minimum 1 year FMCG/Food Manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Milk intake offloading, silo management and tanker CIP.
• Milk acceptance testing including antibiotic testing and acidity.
• CIP of lines and silos at Milk Intake.
• Liquid despatch to external customers and documentation completion.
• Set up of milk silos for cheese production.
• Operating and monitoring water treatment processes.
• Shunting of tankers.

As Liquid Processing Operator you will undertake a role to maximise product output, efficiencies and quality. The job covers all aspects of our liquid processing operations, including milk reception, liquid despatch, water management, process control (including SCADA), quality assurance and plant cleaning-in-place (CIP). You will work closely with the Liquid processing shift manager to learn and understand the production process. The working pattern associated with this role is 3 on 3 off 12-hour day shift. This role may include holiday/absence cover across differing shift patterns.

The Role:

• Milk Intake offloading, silo management and tanker CIP.
• Milk acceptance testing, inclusive of antibiotic testing, acidity etc.
• CIP of lines and silos at Milk Intake.
• Liquid despatch to external customers and completion of documentation.
• Set up of milk silos etc for cheese production.
• Running of water treatment plant.
• Shunting of tankers.

The Person:

• Minimum of 3 GCSE’s (inc English and Maths) or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 years’ relevant manufacturing experience.
• A demonstrable technical skill eg.mechanical, electrical/electronic or mechatronics.
• Strong communication skills verbal, written and computerised.
• Clearly demonstrate an ability to communicate to and work with to a range of internal and external stakeholders professionally and effectively.
• Evidenced experience of working as part of a small team
• Working knowledge of a Scada system
• Minimum of 1 years FMCG/Food Manufacturing experience
