Linux Technical Support Engineer – Rotherham/Hybrid

We are seeking a motivated Linux Technical Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Rotherham. This role involves providing support, administration, and customer service to end users across hardware and software platforms, offering hands-on experience in Linux systems, enterprise storage, networking, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky/Ubuntu).
2. Troubleshoot server, storage, application, and networking issues for global clients.
3. Assist with hardware/software installations, configurations, and deployments.
4. Document resolutions and contribute to the internal knowledgebase.
5. Learn and support enterprise storage systems, including distributed filesystems.
6. Support basic networking (VLANs, routing, switch configuration).
7. Use automation tools (SaltStack) and scripting (Bash/Python); training provided.

Person Profile:

1. Experience in IT support, service desk, or infrastructure support.
2. Comfortable with Linux command line and basic system administration.
3. Exposure to networking, storage, or virtualization is advantageous.
4. Excellent communication skills for working with technical teams and end users.
