Role Overview: WWT is seeking a skilled Linux Engineer for a 6-month contract role based in Sheffield, UK (Hybrid). This role involves supporting a high-impact project focused on optimizing voice and video traffic routing for eLux devices via Zscaler ZIA and ZPA. You will be responsible for implementing device and user authentication, improving endpoint performance, and managing Linux systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead deployment, configuration, and testing of eLux builds across 100k+ endpoints.
• Implement and validate device and user authentication mechanisms using Zscaler ZIA/ZPA.
• Collaborate with internal teams and Zscaler support to troubleshoot system build and endpoint issues.
• Manage Linux-based system images and configurations.
• Perform root cause analysis on Linux system issues, including debugging OS and applications.
• Support performance testing and contribute to optimization strategies for voice/video traffic.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and resolve blockers, especially those related to performance.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience with Linux system administration and scripting.
• Experience working with endpoint devices, preferably thin clients like eLux.
• Hands-on knowledge of Zscaler ZIA and ZPA.
• Ability to troubleshoot OS and system performance issues.
• Experience managing Linux system builds at scale.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Understanding of network security and optimization principles.
