Position: Recruitment Consultant at Head Resourcing

Head Resourcing is hiring a Linux Engineer for a financial services company. The role is primarily remote, with occasional office visits near Gosforth or Glasgow.

The salary ranges from £39,000 to £49,000 and includes excellent benefits. Occasional weekend/evening work is required, with additional pay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support the company's Linux server estate for the Operational Platform.
• Oversee patching cycles, including scheduling, deployment, and verification.
• Design, validate, implement, and ensure quality of technical solutions.
• Support the deployment of new infrastructure in data centers.
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with teams to estimate work, scope domains, and manage risks.
• Coordinate with project teams to manage changes effectively.

Required Experience:

• Strong Linux system administration and engineering experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience with Satellite (installation, configuration, management).
• Proficiency in server deployment, upgrades, maintenance, monitoring, and automation (Infrastructure as Code) using Ansible, AAP.
• Experience with VMware (upgrades, management).
• Knowledge of networking technologies.
• Skills in Python, Bash, APIs, and data formats like JSON/YAML.
