Job summary

Barrie Knitwear in Hawick is seeking a skilled Linker to join our Pre-Production team. You will connect prototypes, samples and submissions with the aim of establishing design methods and standards before bulk manufacture.

The role focuses on delicate knitwear, collaborating across colleagues to identify manufacturing methods, manage risks and drive continuous improvement while contributing to the development of new products.

• Work closely with colleagues to develop effective, repeatable methods for bulk manufacture.
• Contribute ideas and feedback to support continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for talented and motivated Linkers to join our Pre-Production team.

Our Pre-Production team plays an important role in the development of new knitwear, linking prototypes, samples and submissions that help ensure designs, methods and standards are fully established before moving into bulk manufacture.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working with delicate knitwear and wants to play a key role in getting products right from the very start of the manufacturing process.
