Job summary

Freedom’s Network Services team is seeking a Linesman Chargehand to join the field-based crew delivering overhead line projects up to 33kV. You will lead and guide a team, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with client standards and procedures.

The role requires extensive现场 experience, strong safety leadership, and a track record in overhead line construction and maintenance. A competitive package includes a company vehicle and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• First Aid, Manual Handling and Working at Height training required.
• Winch Operation and IPAF 1b MEWP certification preferred.
• NRSWA Operative with City & Guilds 2322 is required.
• Chainsaw certification is desirable.
• DNO Authorisation up to 33kV and Live Line Working knowledge preferred.
• Safe digging techniques and environmental awareness expected.
• CDM & Risk Assessment training beneficial.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in overhead lines up to 33kV.
• Strong health & safety focus and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing, building, and refurbishing overhead lines up to 33kV.
• Work to Freedom and client standards, policies and procedures.
• Lead and guide team members to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Maintain site safety and complete risk assessments.
• Report incidents and ensure SHEQ compliance.

Freedom’s Network Services team has an exciting opportunity for a Linesman Chargehand to join our field-based team. This role is key to delivering overhead line projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

• Installing, building, and refurbishing overhead lines at LV, 11kV, and up to 33kV.
• Working to Freedom and client standards, policies, and procedures.
• Leading and guiding team members to ensure safe and effective operations.
• Maintaining site safety and completing risk assessments.
• Reporting incidents and ensuring compliance with SHEQ requirements.
