Summary

Freedom Networks is seeking a Chargehand Linesman to work in the field. The primary responsibility is to work within a team to ensure timely delivery, safety compliance, quality standards, and adherence to project specifications. The role reports directly to the Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, build, and refurbish overhead lines at various voltages, including LV, 11kV, and 33kV.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Freedom and customer standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain and develop personal competence in line with legislative changes and customer requirements.
  • Provide guidance to team members to ensure safe, effective, and efficient operations.
  • Communicate instructions and messages to team members as directed by the Manager.
  • Monitor and guide team safety practices and procedures.
  • Coordinate with third parties to facilitate smooth work execution.
  • Adhere to and promote Freedom’s SHEQ policies and safety instructions.
  • Maintain site safety and complete daily risk assessments as required.
  • Follow instructions in method statements and risk assessments.
  • Report accidents and near misses appropriately.
  • Report SHEQ concerns to the SHEQ team and Manager.
  • Uphold Freedom’s core values.
  • Ensure work is completed to high standards.

  • Full Driving Licence

  • IPAF 1b MEWP Operation certification
  • NRSWA Operative status
  • City & Guilds 2322 qualification
  • Chainsaw Certification
  • DNO Authorization (up to 33kV, live line working, polarity training, sub-station entry)
  • Environmental awareness
  • Safety Marshall Training
