Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa, part of Alexander Hotels a private group of quality hotels just outside London, seeks a Linen Porter to support our Housekeeping team. 34.5 hours per week across 5 days including weekend shifts, with 8am start and 4:30pm finish on some days.

Main duties include stocking linen cupboards, stripping beds on busy days, clearing linen, operating inhouse laundry machines and counting linen for the laundry company.

Responsibilities

• Stock linen cupboards on guest corridors with sheets, pillowcases, duvets and towels
• On busy days, strip beds for Housekeeping Assistants to remake with clean linen
• Clear dirty linen from bedrooms/corridors
• Operate inhouse laundry machines
• Count and bag linen for laundry company to collect
• Count and unpack laundry delivered each day, pulling out reject linen for return
• Sort reject linen in stock from circulation

£22,801.74 per annum + monthly service charge payment

34.5 hours per week, 5 days, including weekend shifts, earliest start 8am latest finish 4.30pm

Join our Housekeeping team under the direction of our experienced Head Housekeeper, Inga Zarnowska. There is full time team of housekeeping assistants, linen porters and spa cleaners, as well as an inhouse maintenance team to support you.

We are seeking a Linen Porter. An energetic, fit person is required to assist our hard-working Housekeeping Assistants. Stocking up their linen stores, helping them strip beds on busy days and clearing dirty linen from the guest corridors to ensure the hotel always looks its best. Working 34.5 hours per week, spread over 5 days including weekend shifts.
