Job summary

Evri in Bristol is seeking a Linehaul Driver to join our premier parcel delivery network. You will drive a lorry from our Volvo fleet, a modern, high-spec vehicle with fridges and leather seats to keep you comfortable during long night runs.

Most shifts run Monday to Friday, 9 hours per shift, with start times around 5/6pm. The role entails trunking to regional hubs, independent route planning, and ensuring on-time delivery while safely handling cargo and equipment.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence is required.
• Driver CPC qualification card.
• Completed DCPC training hours or working towards them.
• Excellent knowledge of road transport laws and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from the Volvo fleet and be comfortable with high-spec vehicles.
• Plan routes independently and work 9-hour shifts, typically 5–6pm start.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily and submit a Defect Report when needed.
• Scan consignments and operate pallet trucks where required.

What You'll Do:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.?They're?a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather seats and many more optional extras to make sure?you're?comfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and?9-hour?shifts per day which typically start at?5/6pm. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where?you'll?be driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

We?don't?micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes.?This job involves trunking to regional hubs on the night shift. So, if you like the independence of being out on the open road for long stretches - but also want to be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift, this is the job for you.

You'll?make sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,?you'll?need to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You'll?be responsible for?inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
