Job summary

Culina Group is recruiting for a role in its Chilled & Fresh division across multiple lines. You will operate on manual and automated lines, ensuring QA and safety standards are met and products are prepared for the next stage in the supply chain.

The position requires a background in food manufacturing/packaging, attention to detail, and basic IT skills to use the integrated management system. Training on health & safety will be provided.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety obligations, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Follow Safe Systems of Work and procedures.
• Report near misses, hazards or defective equipment.
• Support investigations into accidents.
• Maintain line hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ensure correct pallet layout and line targets.

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Chilled & Fresh division – from supplier to shelf, we make fresh supply chains simpler. Our expertise in temperature-controlled logistics ensures products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time, helping customers maximise availability and minimise waste.

Working on a variety of manual/automated lines to meet planned volume and commercial targets, and in accordance with QA and safety standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Following all Safe Systems of Work and procedures
• Reporting any near miss incidents, hazards or defective equipment at any time
• Reporting any accidents and supporting investigations
• Adhering to all Quality procedures
• Reporting to Line Leader any faults in packed product e.g. poor seals coding difficult to read or missing
• Checking products and ensuring the right quality is packed
• Checking dates on incoming products for the Line Leaders
• Ensuring pallet layout is correct
• Keeping the line tidy – it keeps it safer and protects the product from foreign matter contamination
• Following personal hygiene rules e.g. hand washing and not taking loose items into the factory
• Following all Standard Operating Procedures
• Working at the required rate to achieve the line target
• Keeping time is expected at shift starts and breaks
• Working on your line area
